About Rebecca
Rebecca Achurch, PgMP, PMP, CSM, CAE, has worked in the association, non-profit and membership market for 20 years. She is an IT professional who evolved from the “program side” of association management and who has built and worked on virtual and co-located teams for 12 years.
She strongly subscribes to the guiding tenants of the agile manifesto of “Individuals and interactions over processes and tools” and “Responding to change over following a plan” and truly believes that plans, processes, and tools must adapt to fit the individual, interactions, and organization. She has an in-depth knowledge of technology solutions, extensive program and project management experience and a passion for building long-term trusted business partnerships.
While serving the American Chemical Society (ACS) Rebecca lead two of the largest and most critical organizational implementations to date. Combined, these two projects spanned four years, impacted nearly every department and accounted for over 350 million dollars of organizational revenue. In this capacity, she built and managed a team of project managers, business analysts, and developers that implemented innovative applications for both internal business units and ACS Members. In just over three years as the AMS Program Manager, her team launched over 35 projects and initiatives. All of this while working virtually!
Rebecca now runs her own consulting practice where she provides program and project management services and coaching as well as virtual team consulting. Her goal is to help staff develop the necessary skills to build successful teams and to help move their organizations forward.
Rebecca is experienced in both waterfall and agile project management, is a Program Management Professional, (PgMP) Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), is agile certified and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE). Connect on LinkedIn
