This is the first in a series of posts about the tsunami of investment money that is flooding into the association technology market. Is this something you’ve thought about recently?

While many people are familiar with the investment instrument Venture Capital, the most common investments occurring in the association market today are called Private Equity investments.

AMS Fest will offer a panel discussion, led by Dave Will, the Founder of LMS software developer Peach New Media. Dave’s company was merged with Abila after private equity money was leveraged to purchase his company. Dave resigned from Abila in 2015, and has first-hand knowledge of the inner workings of private equity investments, having been a beneficiary of private equity funding.

Over the next couple weeks, we’ll set the stage for this revelatory topic, giving you a glimpse into the sea of funding that’s entering the association technology sphere. We’ll dive into how it could affect your organization’s operations, for better or for worse, whether you realize it or not.
